DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY
One of the leading subjects in pure sciences, chemistry offers the students an ideal platform to begin exploring the fascinating world of chemical reactions, systematic and comprehensive understanding of physicochemical principles, composition and structures of inorganic and organic materials used in our daily life. The Honours Course, a fine balance of Inorganic, Organic and Physical Chemistry integrated with related fields like, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Applications, Biochemistry etc, enables the graduates to develop an awareness of issues within chemistry that overlap with other related disciplines.
The course opens avenues for pursuing PG studies like M.Sc. (in Inorganic, Organic, Physical, Analytical, Polymer Science, Forensic Science, Material Science, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology etc.), MCA MBA and B.Ed.
