Physical Education Department provides sports facilities to all students -of the college. They are encouraged to participate in sports activities and even represent their college in game of their interest. Sports Meet for Freshers is organised every year in first term with an aim to explore sports talent among first year students, and to orient them to sports culture of the college.

National Service Scheme (N.S.S.)
The College NSS Unit is very actively involved in the service of the underprivileged sections of society particularly the visually handicapped,elderly people, women and children. It aims at inculcating human values, dignity of labour, self confidence and discipline among the volunteers. The main college NSS projects are Blood Donation, AIDS Awareness, Family Life Education, Functional Literacy, Help for the visually impaired, College Campus Cleanliness, Socio-Economic Skills Development and Leadership and Personality Development. Every Student who wishes to join N.S.S. must fill up its enrolment form latest by August in the year. A student who puts inn 120 hours of social service is awarded N.S.S. Merit certificate and outstanding volunteers are awarded special merit certificates and medals. National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.)
The NCC unit of the college is very active. During training the cadet has the opportunity to participate in many adventure activities like para-sailing, para-trooping, mountaineering, horse riding, swimming etc.

In the three years of train ing a cadet can attend different types of camps in Delhi and out of Delhi also. After attending the camp a cadet can appear for ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate examination. Those students who wish to join the NCC can fill up the enrolment forms during the month of August.
‘Pragati’-Women’s Development Centre
Students may become members of this Centre. The main aim of ‘Pragati’ is to raise awareness concerning women’s rights, status, health and empowerment. The activities of the Centre include Seminars, workshops, lectures, debates, essays, film screening, street plays etc.
SPICMACAY
The Daulat Ram College chapter of Spicmacay hosts programmes to create awareness in students of the rich and varied cultural heritage of India. The programmes provide an opportunity for interactive sessions of students with renowned artists.
Student Union
Every student is a member of the college Student’s Union. Participation in student union activities is an opportunity for training in organisational skills & democratic leadership. Every year elections are held in the month of August/September for the following posts for which nominations are invited from the students. (For eligibility conditions the Convener, Student Advisory Board should be consulted.)

The student Union is expected to take active part in the organisation of all college functions and activities. It contributes immensely in making the corporate life of the college more meaningful and memorable. The important activities organised by the Union are Freshers Talent Contest, Daulat Ram Memorial Debate and other inter-college events. For participation in inter-college activities the students are required to contact the Union office bearers.
‘College Magazine
To encourage budding writers in developing their literary talents and to give expression to their thoughts, opinions and’ ideas on various issues of social, political and literary significance the College brings out the magazine “PRAMILA” every year. Articles, poems, stories etc. are published in English, Hindi, and Sanskrit. There is a team of student editors guided by advisors from the teaching facuIty.
